A treat for old-school Angie fans, Popboomerang Records has released Electric & Eclectic Rarities: Volume 1 to Bandcamp, including a rare live version of Four Hours Sleep’s “Stick to My Fingers” featuring the vocal talents of Stephen Cummings and Angie Hart.
“Stick to My Fingers” comes from the first Four Hours Sleep record, More of Her, released back in 1996 in a limited pressing of only 600 copies. The song is quite possibly the prettiest duet Angie has every recorded.
Four Hours Sleep is something of a Melbourne supergroup centered on Bill McDonald, who played with Frente durin the Shape era, having also been a part of Rebecca’s Empire and Ultrasound. Other Four Hours Sleep contributors include David McComb, Paul Kelly, Charles Jenkins, Ollie Olsen, and Scotland’s Edwyn Collins.
