Hope this helps! Please email any comments/questions to mattia_valente@hotmail.com Main Riff (Verse) D D/C# D/B(G#?) G/E G/D# e--------------------|---------2---------|-----3-------3-----| B------3-------3-2h3-|-----3-----3-------|--------------0h2/-| G----2---2---2-------|---2---2-----2-----|---4---4---4-------| D--0-----------------|---------------0h4-|-2-------1---------| A----------4---------|(2)----------------|-------------------| E--------------------|(4)----------------|-------------------| G D e-----3--------3-----|------------------- B-3-------h5-3--0h2/-|-3---3------------- G---4---4------------|-------2----------- D--------------------|---0--------------- A--------------------|------------------- E--------------------|------------------- The last 4 notes I've indicated replace the first four of the 'entry' riff. The transition from the first part (the D chord with descending bass line) to the second (G with descending bass line) is slightly different from starting off the riff from scratch. I think the notes are right. Sounds pretty good, anyway ;-) Listen to the recording for the slight variations (like strumming the first D chord and the like) Strange as it may seem, I think the bass note in the second measure is a G#. Its a little dissonant, but it works. You can also play both notes together. Pre-Chorus F#m e--2---2---2---2--|-------------------| B--2---2---2---2--|-10-9-7------------| G--2---2---2---2--|--------10-7-6-4-2-| D--4---4---4---4--|-------------------| A--4---4---4---4--|-------------------| E--2---2---2---2--|-------------------| do a semi slide on the last two notes. Listen to the recording for details. Chorus F#5 C#5 B5 A5 G#5 |-----------|-----------|-----------|-----------|-----| strum, downstroke only, some palm mute, 8x per measure. Last measure is 2/4 time, half as long. Bridge F#m (E-D) D A E B |-----------|-----------| The Bass actually plays the E and the D, but if you don't have a Bass playing, you can play them yourself. Open low E string and and and open D sound nice. Now for the song, showing you where what bits go: ------------------------------------------------- 4x Verse Riff The way you love, have you got a name for it? 'Cause I don't understand, it. Language is an annoying necessity, and I depend on all the regular things, Got a list tattooed on my memory, of how our tryst should unfold. 1x Pre-Chorus Riff 1x Chorus Riff I'm falling from the opposite, what good is it? Like a map with the/no key attached, My heart's a knight and I charge 4x Verse Riff What do you say, to a dream that won't go away, 'Cause I don't know if I can stand, it. Forever isn't something you want to be, and I rely on familiar things, 7 days'll have special meanings, but you just call it a week. 2x Chorus Riff I'm falling from the opposite, what good is it? Like a map with the/no key attached, My heart's a knight and I charge I'm falling from the opposite, what good is it? Like a map with the/no key attached, My heart's a knight and I charge 2x Bridge Riff 1x Pre-Chorus Riff 4x Verse Riff The night is young, and the moon is a mother to both of us, We both understand, this. Marriage is an old anti-religion and I love all the traditional things, Domestic bliss and all that shit, confusion is a death in that direction 3x Chorus Riff I'm falling from the opposite, what good is it? Like a map with the/no key attached, My heart's a knight and I charge I'm falling from the opposite, what good is it?
